about us
St. Mary's Liquid Assets Association’s mission is to promote, protect, and grow the St. Mary’s County craft beverage industry and the common interests of its members through advocacy, education, and events.
Fostering connections among local producers, aligning on shared objectives, promoting collaborative media and communication efforts, and actively participating in political advocacy at the county level can serve as potent strategies to fortify the craft beverage community. The establishment of a robust network and the ardent representation of local producers' interests can distinctly bolster the association's mission, making a substantial contribution to its overall success.
How We Execute Our Mission
St. Mary’s Liquid Assets is a producer-led alliance strengthening and growing the craft beverage industry in St. Mary’s County through coordinated action, strategic partnerships, and collective advocacy.
We are more than a promotional group. We are a working network creating the infrastructure for long-term success.
Collaboration in Action
We design multi-producer events that showcase the full range of local craft beverages, from wineries and breweries to distilleries and emerging producers.
These experiences are built to:
Highlight product diversity in one setting
Introduce customers to multiple local brands
Generate shared marketing momentum
Position St. Mary’s County as a craft beverage destination
Every producer is invited. Every category is represented. The result is broader reach and greater impact for all.
Collective Legislative Advocacy
We work collaboratively to support policies that strengthen small beverage businesses and value-added agriculture in St. Mary’s County.
Our approach includes:
Coordinated engagement on local and state legislation
Unified communication with policymakers
Strategic advocacy that supports growth, flexibility, and long-term sustainability
By speaking with one voice, we amplify the influence of individual producers.
Strategic Business Development
In collaboration with the St. Mary’s County Department of Economic Development and Visit St. Mary’s, we maintain direct engagement with local business resource partners.
This includes:
Quarterly meetings bringing producers and resource partners together
Alignment with tourism and economic development strategy
Support for wholesale relationship building
Efforts to increase local product presence in retail and restaurants
Producers operate within a connected ecosystem, not in isolation.
By the Numbers
Our collaborative model produces measurable results.
Multi-producer events drawing hundreds of attendees
Increased tasting room traffic through shared marketing efforts
Growth in wholesale account relationships across producers
Coordinated legislative engagement at the county and state level
Ongoing quarterly strategy sessions with economic development and tourism leaders
We focus on action, alignment, and outcomes.
